TechByDesign is an experience design studio based in Mumbai. So back when I was working on creating UXaudit.io – Enabling Data-Driven Design Decisions I was pitching the product to different clients in India and abroad and that when all of a sudden I started receiving projects to design experience of upcoming products by different brands. This is where I partially pivoted TechByDesign from a product company to an experience design company that provided consultancy to different brands.
I got the opportunity to do several design based consultancy projects and also some end to end design and development projects. Worked for some of the biggest consumer brands in India for their digital facing products to solve their conventional operational problems. Some of the brands were Coca Cola, Himalaya, Havells, Alpenliebe, OnSiteGo, Budwiser, Kingfisher, HP, Maaza, BigCity Promotions, etc. Due to several non-disclosure agreements I cannot showcase all the projects but here are a few of them.
1. Coca Cola
Problem Statement
Coca Cola has thousands of salespeople working on the fields to increase brand awareness, increase sales, and doing day to day operations work. Due to the sheer scale of operations, it was difficult to keep track of different sales representatives and their day to day activities.
Solution
So the company decided to digitize this and create an app for the sales representatives as well as their managers to keep track of their activities, set targets for them, and reward the best performers as well. This would also gamify their training and development programs so that the users feel engaged with the content and not get bored with the same. This sales representative facing app is known as ‘Coke Star Partner App’
2. Himalaya Baby Royale
Problem Statement
Himalaya wanted to create a rewards program for their baby care products. Consumers who buy baby care products should be able to signup for this rewards program and get rewarded for being loyal customers.
Solution
Himalaya Baby Royale app and website is designed and developed where consumers can signup by uploading any of their latest shopping bills. Once the bills are verified users get bonus points which can be redeemed on the app and website. Users can also get educated about baby care and best practices which would keep them engaged with the product.
3. Alpenliebe Game
Problem Statement
A game contest for children who buys Alpenliebe. To promote sales of the candy and increase the brand engagement with the kids.
Solution
A mobile based ‘Catch the candy’ game was designed, developed and deployed wherein kids can play the game of catching the candy. The more candy they catch, the more is the score. The game had 10 different levels. A unique code was required by the users to play the game. The code will be on the wrapper of Alpenliebe candy. Weekly/Monthly winners were declared during the period of contest. The game was meant to be simple and very light on all mobile devices and browsers.

- Most importantly was to learn to be able to sell designs to different stakeholders of the project which is a very important skill as a designer and an entrepreneur.
